  • 2 tablespoons Oil
  • 250gms Cottage Cheese Cubes (Paneer cubes)
  • 150gms Capcium ( cut in cubes)
  • Onion Puree (4 Medium sized onions)
  • Tomatoes Puree (3 Large)
  • 2tsp Ginger-garlic paste
  • 1tsp Red Chilli powder
  • 1tsp Coriander power
  • ¼ tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp Garam masala
  • 3 Cloves
  • 2 Bay leaves
  • 1 inch Cinnamon stick
  • Salt to taste
  •  Fresh Coriander to garnish

Step by Step Recipe for Kadai Paneer 

  1. Heat oil in a wok and sauté cottage cheese cubes until golden brown. Now soak them in water for 10 minutes and drain. (Tip: take chilled water only because that keeps the cheese soft from inside).
  2. In the same wok, add bay leaf, cloves, cinnamon stick, onion puree and ginger garlic paste. Saute well it turns golden.
  3. Add capsicum cubes and saute for 2 minutes.
  4. Now add coriander powder, turmeric powder, garam masala, red chilli powder and little water. Mix well and allow the mixture to boil. Add tomato puree and saute again.
  5. Cover and cook for five minutes till oil surfaces.
  6. Add salt and drained cottage cheese cubes.
  7. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.
