Recipe for Tomato Basil Rich Cream Soup


  • 8 tomatoes - peeled, seeded and diced
  • 8 cups tomato juice
  • 25 basil leaves
  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream
  • 1 cup butter
  • salt to taste
  • pepper to taste


  • Place tomatoes and tomato juice in a pot and put over medium flame. Simmer for around 30 minutes. Don’t forget to stir in between.
  • Add basil leaves in the tomatoes mixture and add basil leaves. Mix them well and puree the mixture.
  • Return this puree mixture to the pot and place it over medium heat. Keep stirring in heavy cream and butter. Season with salt and pepper.
  • Keep stirring until the butter melts.
